Junior Designer

Part time on retainer, New York, NY

Role Summary

We’re looking for a multi-talented and enthusiastic designer to work with all aspects of the Zuzu team. From emails, social and digital ads to point-of-sales assets and sales decks, this person would be a key factor in maintaining a consistent brand expression across all outlets. They would also also be at the helm of helping to evolve our look + feel as we approach our second birthday. This position works closely with both sales and marketing teams, and reports directly to the head of marketing. ~10-15 hours per week


Responsibilities

  • With the guidance of the head of marketing, work to execute design priorities for the company
  • Design assets for email and social
  • Create identities for new product launches, holidays and special promos
  • Design merch for marketing and sales
  • Design digital ads and iterate quickly on what is and isn’t working
  • Work closely with the sales team to create sales decks, point-of-sales assets and various pieces of merch


The Ideal Candidate

  • Has 3+ years of experience working as a designer
  • Is confident in working on email (Klavio), social, digital advertising, printed assets and merch
  • Has experience working in the wonderful world of CPG and/or ecommerce
  • Is a team player that loves collaboration
  • Is equally excited to protect the brand and propose changes to push it forward
  • *Some* experience with illustration is a bonus

Field Sales Representative - New York

Sales, full-time, New York

A Little Bit About Us!! 

Zuzu is a bottled cocktail made with 100% agave spirit and only five whole ingredients. We’re a new kind of alcohol company started by two women who were tired of wine hangovers and spiked seltzers that taste synthetic. We have a background in cooking and in the sustainable food world and we bring a set of deeply held beliefs about high quality ingredients to everything we do. At Zuzu, we believe that less is more delicious. 

 

Role Summary

The sales representative is responsible for growing Zuzu’s network of accounts throughout New York and for driving volume growth in existing accounts. The position requires significant time in market visiting liquor stores and educating them on the Zuzu brand and value proposition. You are the brand ambassador for Zuzu and the face of the brand on the ground. This position reports to the Director of Sales.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Increase distribution by opening new, key on and off-premise accounts.  
  • Manage relationships with existing accounts to sell volume, monitor price and ensure proper product merchandising. 
  • Build relationships with local distributor teams. 
  • Execute weekly tastings at retail locations and manage all field sales marketing. 
  • Develop target account strategies, quality control standards, and create reports to track sales performance. 
  • Improve velocity in accounts by building displays, sampling, and educating retail employees.
  • Keep an eye on market and competitor trends and provide strategic feedback on how Zuzu can better meet its customer needs.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • 3-5 years experience in sales. Experience selling alcohol is a plus, but not a requirement! 
  • Awesome analytical, organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to define and execute on goals without significant oversight. Highly self-motivated. 
  • A killer instinct with strong selling and negotiation skills. You’re a quick on your feet problem-solver. 
  • High emotional intelligence to manage and grow customer relationships. 
  • Must be 21 years old! 
  • Bachelors' Degree in Sales, Business or related field
  • This role requires physical activity: walking, bending, stooping and light lifting.
